V for Vendetta
An interesting movie which takes you through the actions and mind of a terrorist who in some aspects appears to be nothing other then a man searching for freedom. Having never previously heard of this movie I was quite alarmed and confused while watching it. After the first time I decided to watch it again which really intensified and clarified my views and understanding of the whole movie.
With the use of great Britain history i found the movie to be a spectacular adaptation of not only history itself but also of the original V for Vendetta comic book. The movie surrounded one of my favourite poems of all times-Remember, Remember the 5th of November, which made it very enjoyable and interesting.
I found the actors and actresses did a spectacular job. Credits to Natalie Portman who played Evey Hammond for her amazing abilities to give everything (including her precious hair) in order to fulfil the role. She did a spectacular job. As well to Hugo Weaving for his amazing role as V. Even wearing a Guy Fawkes mask the entire time there wasn't a single second were the audience couldn't feel and imagine his emotions. His voice was so readable that one could tell every bit of emotion even without seeing it. As well he did an amazing job portraying a villeins character which by the end of the 132 minute film took the hearts of many people.
Lastly I thought that this movie was very well directed and left the perfect amount of questions open, while still closing many. The movie was perfectly stabilized not leaving room for slowness or too much intensity in one scene.
So to all those,
Remember Remember!
The Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!
